Action!
There is so much happening in the world today.
Some of it is good. Some of it is not.
Is there anything that we can do – as individuals – to make a real difference, and positively impact the world we live in?
Absolutely.
If you're itching to "do something" to make the world a better place, here are some practical suggestions:
Citizens Against Fountain Point (CAFP) needs your help!
CAFP was created to advocate for the responsible placement of industrial solar and the denial of an operating permit for Fountain Point LLC – a corporate entity that is trying to build a large-scale industrial solar complex in Logan County, Ohio.
Industrial solar corporations like Fountain Point LLC are funded by tax dollars provided by the U.S. Government. Without your tax dollars and representatives (who, when uneducated and/or influenced, might approve the use of these funds), industrial solar projects would not have a profitable return on investment, and they would not even exist as "businesses."
This is because, unlike small-scale solar power solutions, utility-scale solar power generation is surprisingly inefficient – with power production that's less than 20% of nameplate rating, and which is notoriously unreliable. So profits are typically derived from constructing projects, rather than operating them. And we all pay the price through taxation, loss of land and destabilized utilities.
CAFP is currently raising funds to pay for the significant legal expenses for its upcoming Ohio Supreme Court case that aims to deny Fountain Point LLC's operating permit.

In addition, CAFP welcomes your direct involvement and action with its important cause. Contact TOP if you're interested, and we'll connect you directly with CAFP.
