December is upon us! Can you believe it?
As your holiday celebrations get underway, make sure to take time to visit the annual Christmas tree display at the Logan County History Center. It’s a lovely exhibit that’s free to peruse and enjoy. You can also cast a vote for your favorites!
The trees have all been set up and individually decorated by local organizations and clubs, and this year there are more fun and interesting themes to enjoy than ever before.
We’re especially excited about the Top of Ohio Patriots’ tree this year! The 2025 theme is “Prelude to War 1763 – 1776.” We’re betting that you’ve never seen a Christmas tree decorated with rifles and muskets before! And if you look more closely, you’ll also find individually numbered ribbons and a fact sheet that describes little-known historical events that led up to the Revolutionary War.

We really have to give a special thanks to Top of Ohio Patriots’ own Patricia Hildreth. She designed and decorated this year’s tree – she has done this for several years running – and she puts a lot of thought and effort into it each year.
This year’s tree is really special, we think. It’s beautiful – and educational too! A perfect tree for Patriots to admire and enjoy!
The Logan County History Center is located at 521 E Columbus Ave, Bellefontaine. It’s a wonderful, local resource for anyone interested in history – not just at Christmas time, but all through the year. Click the image above to visit their website and learn more!
